Dh & I had a bit of a, um, disagreement this AM. I really want to call my sis, but she's got a huge day--in the mid of negotiating a new salary w/ a recent promotion. And, of course, here there are board rules. We usually do fine talking things out, but he had to work.
So here I am, seething, w/ 3 dc & my gparents on their way over. The house is clean enough, but...I think I may see if I can meet them somewhere instead so I don't lose it w/ the dc trying to get the last few things picked up (such as the smell of vinegar in their bathroom where they got happy w/ my homemade spray :ack2:).
Really what I want to do, though, is go somewhere for a couple of days. :glare: I sure wish my sis weren't so busy at work right now. Or my dad were alive. I'm even thinking about going to see ils for a few days, lol!
So do ya think some Sonic ice & a trip to the hardware store for those missing seeds & some baby proofing contraptions would do instead? :001_huh:

My wife always found that the Cherry Limeade made everything alright. ;)

You can come see me. :001_smile: Do you like dogs? Chickens? Dust? :D You might need a couple o' Sonic ice cups to make the trip, though. ;)

I find a chocolate cherry coke from Sonic soothes my ills. :grouphug:

Aw! I'd *love* that! But about half way there, I'd stop feeling snarky & start feeling pretty guilty.
Really, just hanging out here for a little bit, reading other people's threads has helped a lot. I just said a nice sentence to dd. :D
They're working on the apt upstairs today, MUCH MORE LOUDLY THAN USUAL. So I've got a good excuse to meet my grparents somewhere, although it would have been nice for them to see my new $35 sofa. :001_smile:
I'm off to take the kids to do something fun. Something where I won't bite them. :001_huh:

:grouphug: I forget how many weeks you are now, but you all know I was feeling very similar in those last 4-6 wks. I was constantly upset with my dh and the dc, irritable in general and just plain "done". Nobody really understood except you all! I actually did "run away" for a night. I'd had it w/ dh (he made a very nasty comment one night about me and I just flipped). So, I left w/ a bag of clothes and toiletries and "ran away" to my parent's house overnight. I called dh and told him he'd have to figure out what to do about work in the am...I wasn't coming home. Now, I don't suggest you do that, but if you must get away...get away. Do you have a friend you could stay w/ for a weekend or even an evening? It really helped me. You are welcome here, but DFW is a bit of a trek from PA. :D I'm praying for you. I KNOW how you feel.

LOL--I'm on my way.
No, this is dh's maybe ONE character flaw, & it came up today in a routine business call. He got grouchy about it, & I flipped. Pg-related? Objectively, there's got to be some of that, but this has been an issue off & on the whole time I've known him. I can accept it, he accepts plenty in me. I just...couldn't take him trying to blame the company in question, kwim?
Anyway, that may be tmi. I'm probably 30 weeks or so. I count in mos, & I've noticed the less I pay attention, the faster it goes. Of course, this is my first summer baby. I'm counting in ice cubes!
Ok, the kids' shoes are on & I really am leaving now. Hardware store, ho!

I'm clearly getting sick and can barely talk (seriously, it's whispering only which is a bad scene for me). I'm also on my period. And my hubby leaves next Saturday. AND I have no Sonic. So, I'll just join your little party.
