Does anyone have a site/resource for a child's teepee? Have you actually made a teepee? I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on how to do this inexpensively and easily (well, mostly easily). Thanks!

Here is a pattern that a friend used
http://www.sewthankful.com/TerrificTeepeesPattern.html

She did it and was happy. It used a LOT of material though.

There are other patterns in the pattern books at Hobby Lobby (remember they usually have a 40% coupon in the Sunday paper or online) and JoAnns that use the same idea.

Good luck!

We built a wooden teepee/lean-to structure in the backyard. We cut several small pines (heavy forest in part of our backyard) and strung those up between a couple of trees. The smaller diameter limbs were used for weaving in and out along the length of the 'walls'. We used the boughs to cover the structure.

I made one a couple of years ago for my boys. I bought the pattern at Joanns. I think it was either Simplicity or Butterick. I thought it was pretty easy. I looked for cheap material on the clearance tables because it does require alot of fabric.

I found the pattern I used

If you don't mind to just buy it ready-made (more expensive but easier) here is a couple of nice ones in different sizes -

Thank you so much for your links and tips. We'll be working on the teepee in about a week or so. Thanks!
