SWR users, have any of you tried Megawords after using SWR awhile?

What are your thoughts? I've had this bookmarked for awhile for "later". I'm wondering if I could transition my oldest who will be in 3rd next year to Megawords and keep using SWR for my younger two? He's spelling at a 4th+ grade level. Can Megawords be done independently?

Can Megawords be done independently?

I don't have any experience with SWR, but we've used Megawords 1-5 so far. While it cannot be used completely independently, I do not find it time consuming at all. My role is:
(1) Pre-testing at the beginning of the book
(2) Dictating words for an occasional worksheet
(3) Checking answers
(4) Testing at the end of each list

From what I have head, this is probably a fraction of the work required for SWR.
