I have Pergo. I've been using the Swiffer wetjet, but the cleaner is so expensive. Anyone ever refill the bottle with vinegar and water and use it that way?

We have a laminate floor (not pergo, but similar), and I couldn't stand the smell of the swiffer cleaner. It gave me a headache.

I've never tried to refill the thingy with water & vinegar, so I'm not sure if that can be done or not. Plus I don't like the way the swiffer leaves streaks on my floor.

We bought a micro-fiber mop from Target. We filled a spray bottle with water (but now I'm thinking I should put water & vinegar in it), spray the floor, and mop it.

No more streaks, no more cloying scent. Aaaah...very nice :D

was then the bottle leaked. I could only reuse the bottle once and then buy a new bottle of swiffer cleaner. Now we just put the cleaner I want to use in a spray bottle.

No, but I do this with our Scooba. About 1/2 cup white vinegar to 4 cups warm water, per the instructions on the machine.
