Why do I keep losing things?

No, I am not referring to my mind, but I may be referring to it soon if I don't stop losing things. I can't seem to find my Sonlight catalog. I know it is here somewhere. Oh where oh where did my catalog go, Oh where oh where can it be? :confused1: :crying:

I misplace stuff all. the. time. ;)

Pens, sunglasses, shoes, mittens, spoons, books, dvds, bills, keys, change - you name it & I've misplaced it at some time or another. It seems like....I set something down and it just....walks away. :tongue_smilie:

The two things I've found that help are radically decluttering (less stuff to lose and for other things to get lost in!) and making a place for everything. I have a place I put my keys, my glasses, the bills, important paperwork, the stash of Post-It Notes...so I always know where to look.

Very good system, Drew! My problem is that I have a "cluttering" system that is 10 and 6 years old (the 6 year old one is especially efficient). I spent an hour yesterday looking for a CD due back at the library. I started with the CD player and then that special place for library CDs that are not currently being played. Then in desperation we branched out. Finally in a moment of pure inspiration I asked dd6 if she could have possibly put a CD in with her toys (mind you, she's been helping to look for the CD for the last hour. . .). She comes out with a CD - "All I have is this one." "THAT'S IT! And don't put CDs in your room!!!!":chillpill:
