I know that most people tend to think of this weekend for remembering our soldiers, but I just wanted to say to all the moms and kids too I know it can't be easy and it's a huge sacrifice you all have made for us. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Thanks to all that thanked members of our military for their service. My dh is currently on board the USS George Washington and I will pass this on to him. It means a lot to him when he hears others "thanks" and appreciation for what he does.
To all the others out there with spouses, dads, brothers, sisters, siblings, etc in the same position as my dh Thanks to them for their sacrifice and to you for your sacrafices. I know how hard it can be when they are gone.

We appreciate your sacrifices, which are many, for the freedom we Americans take for granted. Freedom really isn't free. It requires a special family to endure separations, frequent transfers, and the quirky little military rules.
I've served in the USAF and was a military spouse (pre-children) and know it demands so much from each of you. Thank you for all you do throughout the year!:patriot:
We live outside D.C. The day the Pentagon was hit my husband was standing outside talking to one of the bosses...he works in D.C. My brother-in-law was an EMT...he was driving by the Pentagon in his ambulance after dropping off a patient at Walter Reed. They witnessed what happened and my BIL was one of the first responders. My husband called me immediately and said it was awful to watch. Everyone here felt the pain and loss on that day......
Our church has a lot of military families and it is heart wrenching to watch as the husbands get deployed. We love our families and try to make sure that we do whatever we can for the spouses and children while mom or dad are out to sea or on another shore.
From our family to yours........We want to thank you for the service you give to our country. The sacrifice is not just made by the service member. It is a familial sacrifice to which we truly are grateful. I have come to realize it isn't just the active duty member but also the spouses and children.
To the military members and their families......A big hearty hug and most gracious thanks from our family to yours.

Thanks, Luna, for posting this. And thanks to all the families who are managing without a loved one today, holding down the homefront.
And thanks to those who have lost someone, recently or generations ago.

God bless you and thank you. There aren't sufficient words to express all that we would like to, but, your sacrifice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you from a military family. And I wish to add my thanks to military, law enforcement and firefighting families. We just came through criminally caused wildfires in a few cities in our county and their efforts for all to see were just an example of the daily efforts they make.
