Will my dd miss something crucial if we skip A and go right into B?

Nothing at all in my opinion. For the 9 yr old right? Yeah,you could start with B and if you ned more practice it will be easy to add in other tales at the end.

For the 13yo, yes skip and I believe there is an older learners for Homer as well.

For the 9yo...depends. Aesop A and B each only have 18 weeks of material. You really don't want to jump into Homer too soon because it is considered quite demanding. With the 9yo I would have to consider carefully before I skipped A.

You know, thinking about this Heather has a point! You don't want your child going into Homer too soon. I have a 9 yr old that will start Homer in about 10 weeks because he will be ready then. What have I been doing in between Aesop B and Homer A?? Beginning Poetry A! We have really enjoyed it and myoldest needed a break between Homer A and Homer B. It is quite intense.
