She can write beautifuly but still needs the middle line to help with sizing her letters. There was a wonderful websit that we could play with the spacing and print in different colors but it is now gone. Do you know of another. The only one I have been able to find it the Donna Young site but you can only print it in black and can't really change the distance with the lines.

I just printed off handwriting paper for my 2nd grader with the red line and dotted center line, just like the stuff I buy at the store.

Cherrie, it's not hard to make your own paper in microsoft Word. Just change your font to the color you're wanting and use underlines and dashes. The size you set the font at will create the spacing. If you create one set worth (top, middle, bottom), then you can copy and paste to create the rest. Set your margins first obviously, as it's a pain to go back and fix them later.

I had to have the same kind of paper for my oldest dd. I found some great paper at Rainbow Resource. It is intermediate writing paper. It is ruled with light green shading in the middle 3rd of the ruled lines. If you go to Rainbow Resource and change their search engine to item number, here is the number if you would like to look at it: #003481

The Knowledge Tree store has inexpensive writing paper. They list it as 3rd grade paper, but I use it for my fifth grader also. It is basically school notebook paper that has a dotted middle guideline that helps the kids in making their lowercase letters the same size. (Great for cursive with my son. :)) For me, some of the other writing paper looks too much like beginner paper. The Knowledge Tree's notebook paper looks similar to the stuff you would use in middle/high school, only it has a dotted guideline in the middle.
