Not that we have Publix here, but when I'm visiting my Mom I *love the refrigerated salsa from Publix. YUM-O!
My normal salsa purchase is Pace's Thick & Chunky, but I also love Archer Farm's (Target) Black Bean & Corn Salsa.

I don't but I can find out in about an hour. Too early to call my sister. It's worth the wait, I think!

My ds loves the Organic Pace salsa. He is 11, so take his recommendation for what it's worth.:D

Well, I'm cheap. I like Safeway brand Pineapple, and Corn and Black Bean.
The only problem is that I no longer live by a Safeway. :D

Paul Newman Pineapple Salsa :drool5:
This is very good, but we prefer his peach salsa. (We like, in descending order: peach, pineapple, mango, tequila lime.)

For the record if you make a salsa (not salsa cruda but a cooked salsa) you can freeze it and it will thaw beautifully.
The best ever store bought salsa I ever had was from the Rick Bayless' Frontera brand.

OK, it is called Jack's Salsa and is in the deli. She said they also sell it at Costco. Sadly, where I live we don't have Publix or Costco.

We find it at Publix, Krogers, and Costco. Very yummy. Also Trader Joe's has some nice salsa too.
We like several of the Archer Farms salsas from Target.

Sam's has a FABULOUS fresh salsa. It's in the refrigerated section where the better cheeses, pesto, etc. are located. I mash up an avocado, toss in some salsa, and ta-da!I have guacamole.

We CANNOT stand the regular Pace stuff--but the chunky kind is pretty good for a store brand. Our family likes 'sweet and spicy'---and we do not like the ones that are heavy on cilantro (peppery taste).
Our former neighbors were Hispanic. Rosa made the BEST homemade salsa and pico... When it was our turn to 'host' our neighborhood dinners (we had one almost every week in the summers...FUN!!!) I would put out my Chunky Pace and all was well---I even had compliments!

I like all of his, but especially the pineapple! We get those for eating with chips, but just for "regular" salsa (like for adding to burritos or whatever) we use Pace. It's good, but not as much fun as the Paul Newman pineapple salsa. :)
We buy ours at Sam's Club. It's "Fresh Salsa/Salsa Fresca" We pay $6.78 for 48oz. On the garlicky side,
which we like. My hubby insists on buying 2-3 everytime we go there. Since he doesn't usually like fresh tomatoes, I indulge him:) He says fresh tomatoes "aren't done" inside.:glare:

Sam's Choice Salsas from WalMart are very good. I like the black bean and my dh likes the pinapple.

Another vote for Newman's Own..the pineapple is amazing! Sweet and spicy. I would give it a little extra...maybe a handful of chopped cilantro.

I prefer a fresh salsa from the deli over the jarred brands.
The one I buy most often is made locally, Salsa de Rosa. Yummy.

Margaritaville (Paradise Fruit) Salsa , I buy it at Sam's Club.
We like Emerald Valley here but it may be a local brand (Pacific Northwest).

I don't know if this qualifies, but Chili's salsa. You can get the salsa and chips to go. I call ahead and swing by for carry out. That's all we get...just salsa and chips. They have the best thin chips. It's just as cheap for us to do this, because we never have any left.

Pace because it doesn't contain any high fructose corn syrup or other sugar.

Mild pace, its not too hot for the children in our house. We buy the largest plastic container. Freeze smaller portions of it. It's what I grew up with. Somethings stay the same.
