I did once get for myself a subscription to Que Tal which is published by Mary Glasgow Magazines (http://maryglasgowplus.com) and distributed in the United States by Scholastic (http://teacher.scholastic.com/products/classmags/mgm_spanish.htm). You can see a sample issue on the Scholastic web page. There were Garfield comics, which I enjoyed, but there was also lots of information about celebrities, which I didn't, although it was all G-rated. So if you are offended by lots of popular culture, movie stars and singers in your daughter's magazines, then these magazines are not for you. It was also not cheap to get a individual copy (these are really meant as classroom magazines), but no worse than any other subscription. The magazine was about 12-14 pages long.
