Hi, ladies!
I would like to see what kind of interest there would be in having a meet up for the DFW area WTM moms and kids. I live pretty centrally in the metroplex, so I think it would be a relatively convenient location for most everyone.
Here's the date I'm thinking of, Thursday, June 17th, from 11-2pm. I have reserved the subdivision's pool cabana for us. The pool is very large, and we won't have it exclusively, but on most days it isn't busy, expecially not on M-Th. The cabana provides shade and several picnic tables, there are many lounge chairs for moms, there is a toddler pool (one foot deep), and a nice playgound and swings right outside the pool enclosure. (It's next to the street, so the littles will need to be watched!)
I was thinking everyone could bring their own picnic lunch (no glass), and we could all enjoy having lunch together. I can also get several teens to come help watch the littles, if you would like to pitch in $2 bucks per child (no more than $5 per family) to help. Let me know if that would be worth it to you.
They ask that we keep the size of the group to around 20 guests, so it will be first come first served, if you would like to PM me. If there are more families who would like to come, we can schedule a second date, as well.
Let me know what you think! If you would like to come, please respond with an adult and child headcount.
I'm looking forward to meeting many of you!
