I have tried both and we are sticking with CQLA. I think that CQLA is much more complete. I just didn't feel like LLATL had enough writing and trying to do both IEW and LLATL was too much for me to coordinate on three levels. I also appreciate that everything, including teacher notes, is in one book. That way I am not juggling back and forth between my book and the student workbook. It also allows my kids to work much more independently. LLATL was good - I just find CQLA much easier to implement, therefore it gets done consistently. (not that we have ever had a problem with that in this house :D)
