We googled around for cabins and found one that is lovely and within our budget. By the time we took a "regular" vacation staying in a hotel, we would spend the price of a month-long cabin rental. Bud has his own business and can telecommute, but depending on how it goes he may have to fly home for a few days, though he's trying to not do that.

We've talked about getting out of the heat in previous years, but this is the first time we've actually tried it. We'll see how it goes!
