Does anyone have a favorites list of poems and/or nursery rhymes that any French speaking children might normally memorize? I would like to add some French poems to our French work but never became familiar with any myself. Like the literature threads I'd like to be sure they are somewhat authentic to a French speaking culture. (I'm also working on a "must know" songs list).
Thank you,
Sandy

Can't really go wrong with
- Jean de la Fontaine
- Jacques Prévert
- Maurice Carême
- Raymond Queneau
de la Fontaine rewrote most of Aesop's Fables, and his are the versions that French kids will learn.

Thanks for sharing! I will have fun looking through them all.
We have traditional French music around that the kids are more or less familiar with, but some really good modern children's music with fun lyrics is that of Henri Des. Highly recommended.
