Ok, hive...school might be winding down, but time to goal set for the summer and the upcoming school year.
What are your personal and academic goals?

I have already accomplished first personal goal:
#1: clean out my closet. I didn't know there was a floor beneath the clothing, shoes, and Target bags. Life is good!

#2 Tone my body (aka hit the gym)
#3 Bake and baste in the sun
#4 Read a novel a week for FUN, and read each book required for DCs
#5 Catch up with friends who we no longer see at ps on daily basis
#6 Revamp my parenting skills in a calm, kind voice.

Smoke more cigars.
Play with my kids more.
Celebrate my birthday.
Help my brother get started with his life.

Oh, good thread! We are not "winding down" too much school-wise for the summer. We'll be doing Analytical Grammar, Math and planning next year which is going well. I'd also like to run a 5k at the end of the summer and want to have lost about 15 pounds by then, too. We're youth leaders at church and I just want to survive all of our events!! LOL

There are three things I want to do:

1. Tend to the gardens and store up *lots* of food to feed my family over the next year.

2. Learn how to take care of and milk the milk cow that we are getting next Saturday.

3. Become proficient at cheese making.

These things feel huge to me, and there is a learning curve there like you wouldn't believe. But that is what I hope to do this summer. My plan is to throw myself into these things; they feel daunting and scary right now, but I hope to master them :)

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

I'm hoping to have the portfolio all put together by the last day of school then do nothing for the vast majority of summer. Toward the end I'll have to get lesson plans for 08-09 done, but I'll procrastinate.
