Thanks to whomever mentioned it on the old boards and again on this board! It took a little while to set it up, but my dc LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the little cartoon cat and buying clothes for it, etc. They actually ASK to do chores now! We are also using the system to figure out allowance and other rewards. How long this "honeymoon period" will last, I don't know. All I know is it is working for us now! Only drawback...the constant badgering to get on the website to cash in points, check off tasks and buy stuff for the cat! We'll need a system for that now, too!
http://www.handipoints.com for anyone interested or needing a fresh, new chore system!

The novelty has somewhat worn off and I let them check off points:
a) before snack
b) when they have free computer time in the afternoon
c) before they go up for bed (they can mark off brush teeth, because I make sure they do it)
I only do the scoring in the evening now -- no more scoring immediately after each kid. :)
I'm not good about the requiring redeeming though when it comes to "Play Computer Game w/ Dad." I mean, what if he invites them to play?? But, some are working out good. My 7yo just redeemed "No Chores for a Day" (60 points) for the 2nd time...I don't like that one! :p My oldest likes "Motorcycle ride w/ Dad" you can even see a picture of them on my blog (http://my5wolfcubs.blogspot.com/)! She is also likes "Download one iTunes song" for 20 points. I have a spending money $1 for 20 points.
I'd love more ideas for rewards! They do have a lot of suggestions but most of it is just activities we do anyway (go to park, bake cookies) and I don't want to be buying them stuff.

We haven't used handipoints, but some I have on K's Bookadventure are:
-Choose a book from the "new" shelf (I have a stash that I add to now & then)
-Choose a trinket from the trinket box (another stash of small favors/pencils/etc)
-Rent a video (now that we've joined Netflix maybe just move one to top of queue)
I love the idea of an iTunes download as a reward!

This looks like fun. I just started a new chore system that I created. When this one gets dull, I think this site will add the extra excitement we will need. Thanks for sharing it!
