I'm grossed out. My youngest dd just brought me a bucket of fish to be cleaned and I need to clean them now. Can't wait for the guys. I'm going to have to touch a fish. Aren't they spiney? Won't it prick me?
I've only watched dh filet fish before, he used an electric knife.
Gaagghhh. Touching a fish. As far as I'm concerned it's the next worse thing to touching a banana. Don't anyone dare mention mountain oysters to me, it can't be compared.

Yee haw, reprieve, reprieve, the boys just walked in from the hay field.
And there was great rejoicing. Instead of cleaning them I'll just post a picture!!!

Okay, we're even.
You don't want to clean fish (easy peasy!)
I don't want to clean (or eat) mountain oysters (ewww!)

Dang, you can clean fish?? I'm impressed. The boys had to go back to the hay field and left the job unfinished, and I steeled myself to at least try. I picked out the smallest one, tried to filet it and ended up making a huge mess.
I read a website that showed how, but I guess I need practice. Before the boys left they told me not to cut into the spine or I'd ruin it. Gah.
*anj*, it had WORMS in it, which in the ground I don't mind, but in my FOOD?

Awesome!! We'll get Karen to bring some crabs (isn't your father the commercial fisherman or something?) I'll clean them while they're still alive and we'll cook them Italian style!!! Woohoo!!!

Maybe it wasn't exactly a PARTY....it was a gathering. But it sure had the makings of a party. With seafood (some of it inedible, but what the hey). And Mikes.
And, did you equate touching a fish with touching a banana???
