Hello German speakers,
I was looking at dictionaries and happened upon this:
http://www.amazon.de/DUDEN-Rechtschreibpr%C3%BCfung-Office-u-Works-Korrektor/dp/3411109122/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1309202014&sr=8-2
The question is: do I want it? Do you have one? Is there something similar, free, online? Does it highlight mistakes in spelling and grammar like Word does in English? Is the dictionary/thesaurus easy to use? Does it work? (the reviews had computer issues)
I, of course, am used to real, made with paper, books; but the dc would probably get a lot more use out of a computer Duden. And my grammar is not nearly as good as in English, so if I read something it sounds right (no, I am not correcting dd's essays. Any volunteers?) It would be really MUCH easier to carry back in my suitcase which is already very full. The dictionary is about 4 inches thick!
And, a new one is coming out in Aug (but I won't be here then.) Should I wait or get one now? Do you expect much change?
TIA
