I had a few specific things I wanted to see and they instantly emailed them over! I'm loving CLE more and more. Dd is wanting more workbook-y and independent stuff, and their materials look great-fairly rigorous but gentle, godly, interesting, thorough. We've used the math this year and dd liked it a lot. I love the looks of their reading and LA too, and have heard mostly good reviews about them. Dd has loved the books they use in their reading program and reads them over and over for fun-very edifying, wholesome stories, but not boring or too preachy. (We have not done the reading program though.) I'm even cking out the new version of their Bible program (3rd grade.) If you do get any CLE, make SURE it's the new versions-the Sunrise edition.
There are some samples on the CLE yahoo group, but if you need to see something more, they seem glad to help.

You're convincing me to give their reading another lookie-lookie. I ordered a sample last year and just didn't care for the workbooks. We use CLE for math and lang arts (which we LOVE) plus my ds uses ABeka for science which has comprehension questions. He gets enough workbook stuff in these areas, so I'm trying to steer clear of workbooks in as many of the other subjects as possible. My ds has ADHD and overloading on workbooks causes major meltdowns. He did great just reading living books for reading and it was refreshing not to have a bunch of comprehension questions to follow up his reading. He went from melting down during reading sessions (b/c of workbook assignments) to enjoying reading. Anyway, I'll check out the samples at the CLE yahoogroup. I doubt I'll go with CLE reading, though, even though many moms seem to love it. We'll see.

Yes, CLE does allow for more independent work, which is a major plus for me since I've got a little under foot. I've heard many rave about the various CLE Sunrise stuff and don't think you can go wrong. All the best!
