4/15. She hasn't received her stimulus check yet. SS number ends in 22 and she should have. Is it because she had to pay taxes that her check might be coming later?

Thanks from my friend!

There was a new batch of people that didn't get their checks it appears now - it was on the news thursday or friday night. SOmething with some particular box on the form. Wait, maybe it was friday morning??

Has she checked the IRS website? AND, she will be getting a paper check since she didn't have direct deposit i assume..... but the ones they talked about in this last muck up weren't getting checks until July.

assuming that they will be getting a deposit in their account, instead of a check. Would that be right?

I don't know for sure on that at all - i would think they would be getting a check though. There is a hotline for them to call (attempt to) and find out - i'd suggest they try that and ask.

would get it later. I did my SS number and I'm expecting it in June, and not the first week.

Did she use Turbo Tax? I heard that if you did, you're getting a paper check. Some goof up with Turbo Tax or something. EX was supposed to get his this week, but instead is getting it in July.

We used Turbo Tax, but paid for it separate from our refund. We got our stimulus check last week as scheduled.

I've heard that if you waited until the last minute to file, you may have to wait longer for your stimulus money. Not sure if it would still be direct-deposited or not.

If someone who owed taxes still included their bank account information on the tax return, they were supposed to get the rebate via direct deposit. I agree with whoever suggested going to www.irs.gov or calling to check on the status of their rebate.

Dh's number ends in 06, and we just got the paper check this week. If she's expecting a paper check, I'd give it a couple of weeks.

Here is a link to the IRS web page that will tell you when you check/direct deposit will arrive, and how much it will be.

The money they sent in was drafted from their account, so they are assuming will be getting a deposit in their account, instead of a check. Would that be right?

I had my whopping $36 tax bill drafted from my bank account and will be getting a paper check at the end of June (its apparently not direct deposit in the eyes of the govt).
