....do you think it is just a matter of low blood sugar?

I had a weight workout with a trainer this am at 8. Haven't done weights since before Christmas so my muscles (legs) were "quivery" afterwards... but driving home I felt lightheaded and kinda sick.

I ate a yogurt to see if that helps.... I don't usually have any problems ever with blood sugar but I don't know what else would make me feel kinda sick.

Oh - and I did eat breakfast beforehand. Ate with dh at 6am - eggs & a slice of toast, some coffee, & a little bit of juice.

Any thoughts? I don't want it to happen again.

It usually happened after a longer or harder workout. It could be the result of not having lifted in a while. I would skip the coffee next time, and maybe eat a protein bar (or part of one) about an hour before the workout especially if it's been a couple of hours since breakfast. Hope you feel better soon!

You are also releasing a bunch of toxins when you lift weights. Drink plenty of water to flush them out. Same thing for after a hard massage. All that lactic acid can make you feel real sick.

I felt the same way after working out with a new trainer on Tuesday. I have been running, but not doing weights. Maybe we are allergic to trainers! HA!

LOL! I thought I was feeling pretty good after working out with her (besides that whole -feeling light headed and sick thing) - but "muscle-wise" I thought - hmmm, I'm doing pretty good. THEN the following day hit as I tried to get out of bed and my legs killed me!! Ugghhh - my legs hurt for the last 2 days - today I'm finally able to do stairs again! I meet with her tomorrow so my arms will be hurtin' for the weekend I guess.

I might just have to develop an *allergy* to her! lol
