I'm getting a 7th ed. Introductory Algebra text and haven't found a solution manual that isn't going to break my budget so I thought I'd get a 5th or 6th edition IF it will match up. Will it? LOL
Thanks if you can help!
Oh, and if anyone has the ISBN for the DVTs 7th edition, I'd appreciate it. :)

Have you checked out betterworld.com? I bought my DVTs and solutions manual from there for very cheap....just last week. Try this link for a solutions manual, which appears to be the one you are looking for, for only $6.98. http://www.betterworld.com/Introductory-Algebra-Students-Solution-Manual-id-0321091051-c-0.aspx Scroll down on that page to see the details of the book. This next link is for DVTs, but they are 8th edition. http://www.betterworld.com/Introductory-Algebra-id-0321285840-c-0.aspx I had to buy 8th edition DVTs for my 7th texts (but I was buying Intermediate, not Introductory). Jann said it should be fine for my set. I think it would probably be worth a try and my order was free shipping!
I hope that is what you are looking for.

I found the 7th edition solutions manual on Amazon.com for under $5
The books are VERY close--but the solutions manuals will not match up enough to use.
The 7th edition DVTs are VERY HARD to find...but in this case the 8th edition will work just fine and can still be purchased from the publisher (Pearson) for $33. One chapter from the 7th edition was split into 2 for the 8th edition--but the concepts are in the same order.

It is: 0-321-09203-1. I own the 7th edition DVT's, but we'll still be using them through the summer. Sorry! :( I want my middle daughter to be really solid in algebra, so I'm working her through the summer with some algebra every day, and if we enroll her in the private school we're considering, she's definitely going to be doing algebra next year. After that, I'd be glad to sell them.
In the meantime, try addall.com or e-campus.com to see if you can find the DVT's and the solutions manual. I agree with Jann---the solutions manuals would not exactly match up.
Good luck!
