for a first grader:
1 page of Climbing to Good English (a LOT of writing but my son needs it)
1 lesson from Queen's LL for Little Ones 3
Natural Speller or Queen's Spelling Thru Copywork
Miquon Math (hands on and fun)
1 page of Developmental Math (very easy and fast, but covers basics and memory)
Hey Andrew Greek Level 2
Complete Book of Time and Money- 1x/week
And of course reading every day aloud to Mom from Library books.
And then art and music on Fridays, Friday will be a very light day, we will only do Miquon Math, and finish up anything we didn't get to during M-Thursday.
Bible will be during Breakfast, and History and Geography will be library books and notebooking. Science will be reading and notebooking Zooooks and Discovery Kids topics.
I was told the LA is overkill, but the Queen's is too gentle, not nearly enough writing for my ds, and the Climbing doesn't cover poetry or picture study, so I thought I would combine and just once in a while cross out the overkill in Climbing to Good English.

As long as you are willing to cut when necessary and really pay attention to how your kiddo is doing with it then it could be fine.

If she is really excited about these things then go for it! Do as much as she would like. If she gets cranky and reaches a wall - cut back to bare minimum and enjoy time with her in other learning ways that are disguised, like nature pursuits, read alouds, and hands on learning. Every one of my children reached a wall at this point and I scaled back until they showed the ability to jump in again.

CTGE takes about 10 to 15 minutes for most pages, Queen LLLO takes about the same plus spelling (10-15 minutes???) plus reading. You'll probably spend about an hour a day and you can break it up into different time slots and take a break. CTGE has a fair amount of spelling in it so you might be able to do just that or eliminate some of CTGE in favor of the other program(s). If you haven't bought the other spelling stuff, I'd start with CTGE and see how it goes first.
I have to give CTGE a big thumbs up for struggling writers. I got it for my dd who loves worksheets and wanted more writing on top of Learning Through Sounds :glare:. When I looked through it, I realized it would be a very good fit for writing practice for ds (Mr. Fine Motor Issues). The content's not challenging until the end of the book but the line spacing is a bit smaller than most 1st grade stuff and it seems to help him write neater.
ETA: If you're going to use RS B, I'm not sure that Miquon is compatible with it. Dr. Cotter isn't in favor of using color coded rods. Here's the link, it's about a third of the way down:

I do think Miquon and RS teach different visualization and, personally, I wouldn't combine them. You can stick with RS if you have it or use Singapore with Miquon (they do combine nicely and use the same "make ten" technique vs. 5+x in RS). I love your suggestion about just skipping some of the spelling in CTGE. The reason I decided to keep CTGE on the roster was because of the 1/2 inch line spacing. It's going to be a bit of a struggle in the beginning but I know my son will adapt very quickly. He needs that added writing practice. I know he hates it, so I am really glad my job isn't for him to love everything. I've tried real hard to avoid workbooks, and do a nice mix of CM style teaching but in this one area I know he needs the practice!
I may use Natural Speller instead of SPelling Through Copywork.
Thanks so much for the note on Right Start and Miquon. I got the Miquon SO CHEAP so I think I'll stick with that and see how it goes. The singapore might be good but it'll be overkill with the developmental math, so I guess I'll just scratch RS for now.
