What would I need to order to get started on this for my son who is 12? I am planning on ordering from Bookdepository and want to make sure I get the right items.
Thanks!

It's designed for late elementary/middle school.
The basic course is Latin Prep 1 and Latin Prep 1 answer book.
If you wish, you can add in the Latin Prep 1 workbooks and workbook answers. These are optional extras - they weren't available when I started and we've done very well without.
Do ask if that's not clear - are you a member of the Galore Park Yahoo group?

We have just begun Latin Prep 1 with a twelve year old and she is really enjoying it.

... who has already had quite a bit of Latin.
I didn't like it very much. It's on the shelf, and I've put him into Latin Prep, instead. He'll move through the first book, at least, quickly, but that's okay. I like the layout, presentation, speed, and the amount of exercises better than SYRWTLL.

Yeah, that's why I got confused, seeing the Prep-books. Thanks for the help, everyone.

Laura,
We've just begun Latin with my dd using SYRWTL Latin 1 & my boys using Latin Prep 1. How can I join the Yahoo group? My dd says Latin makes sense now. LC1 & PL did not work for my dc last year & Latin fell by the wayside when life got crazy.
Blessings,

My 13yo is doing Latin Prep 1 and enjoying it.
We are using the workbooks as well, and for my son, I wouldn't do it without them. He's the type of learner who needs to take a second swing at things to really get them. We work the whole chapter, then do a brief review and he does the workbook exercises so I can see if any of the new material didn't stick.
