I finally remembered the big year-end report I did for my 7th grade combination English/social studies class. It was on African wildlife. I cut lots of pictures out of National Geographic magazines, pasted them onto the page, copied the captions in my own handwriting, and put it in a plastic sleeve. I got an A.
So, I have two more years to get DD11 up to that level. *snicker*
Honestly, I don't remember how/when I learned to write but by the time I hit Freshman composition in college, the instructor remarked how well I wrote, especially "for an engineering student."
We'll just keep chugging along and I'll try to be patient with her struggles. She'll get there just as I somehow did!
