American Girl unit studies?

Does such a thing exist? dd would love something like this. She is obsessed with them right now.

I owned this but sold it because I found it just as easy to get the "World of ..."
books and come up with my own topics for 8 weeks.
We did unit studies on Josefina and Kaya last year that my girls loved.
We got a play script on Josefina from ebay and the girls performed that at the end of our unit, and a friend with horses hosted the girls for an afternoon of riding when we ended the Kaya class.
We did invite a few other girls to participate which of course, my girls loved too:)

There is the study called Portraits of American Girlhood. I have a used copy that I don't need anymore. There have been too many other things that have gotten our interest.

Also one of the lapbook companies just started making lapbooks for the American Girl books. I found the company. It is Knowlege Box Central and they have started with Kirsten.

when my dds were 9 and 7. We had such a good time with it. I saw that you can now get a lapbook for each girl as well. The two together would be so much fun as an overview of American History.

I found the guide for Portraits of American Girlhood to be very helpful and easy to use. I would recommend it.:)

Those look cute but I have no idea what to do with them. I am lap book illiterate. can you help with some examples o what I should do with those pdf's?

I think you could make your own unit very easily. I read every series with my daughter and made it a really big deal- I have more money in American Girls than I do in furniture :rolleyes:
