OOPS wrong place.......
Good Evening Ladies,
We just read about Knights in SOTW2. Ds was fascinated. I have the AG with the recommendations but I wanted to see what your favorite books were. Plus, we are planning a dinner/show at "Medieval Times". :D
Thanks and Goodnight....

I see your son is 6. My 5yo and (then) 7yo sons as well as my (then) 8 yo dd all really enjoyed these: (but especially my 5yo)
Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and
Arthur, High King of Britain
both by Michael Morpurgo

My ds5 loves The Barefoot Book of Knights (http://www.barefoot-books.com/us/site/pages/productone.php?pid=1638). I've linked the soft cover because it comes with a cd, but this is a hard cover version too.

The Sir Cumference (http://www.amazon.com/Sir-Cumference-First-Round-Table/dp/1570911525) books are fun. They have math concepts in a knight theme. They are clever stories!

I have:
Knights in Shining Armor (Gail Gibbons -- I really like her books)
The Knight's Handbook: How to Become a Champion in Shining Armor (Christopher Gravett)
Design Your Own Coat of Arms: An Introduction to Heraldry (Dover Publications)
(this and a lightbox has kept my boys entertained for hours! -- Even Aaron)
Cecilia, I also have many other Middle Ages books including Castle Diary and some historical fiction, King Arthur, etc. Just let me know if you'd like to borrow anything. :D
