I read the thread today about not using soap, but I didn't read the original thread that prompted the recent thread. Does that make sense?

It doesn't matter, because the reasoning behind not using soap seemed to be to help with breakouts.

My problem is sensitive skin. I have been using Mary Kay, and it was fine for a couple years. But, lately, it seems to hurt (burn) a little bit. It used to start hurting after about 8 hours, but the time seems to be getting shorter. Now, it seems to burn almost right away.

I'm sure I'm going to have to switch, but I'm wondering what products are good for sensitive skin. My skin is very, very, very dry. I do break out on my chin once a month, but that's not my main concern. I'm concerned about the dryness around my eyes, and the wrinkles, and the red blotches, and the dark liver spot, and the uneven pigmentation, and the sensitivity to products.

Does anyone else have problems like these? Would the warm water and coconut oil help? I didn't need make-up for most of my life, but lately, the above problems with uneven complexion have led me down the foundation trail. Are there foundations formulated for sensitive skin (not hypoallergenic, just sensitive)? Any other products you've tried for sensitive skin?

The original thread was me asking how to take care of my face because my usual regimen with Dove sensitive skin soap was causing my skin to be dry and irritated. The elimination of soap and using olive oil has really helped. I don't wear makeup, maybe someone else can help you with that.

Recently I found (and came to love!) Aveeno Ultra Calming products. There's a cleanser and day (with SPF) and night moisturizers.
Others that worked well for me were Basis and Eucerin.

Thank you! I'll look for these.
