I just replied to the Perimenopause thread below. And boy this evening do I need some extra something. Someone dropped the "fatigue, cramping, headache, bloat" ton of bricks on me late this afternoon. I've never taken it, does Midol really help??? Does it make you sleepy???

I tried a similar product YEARS ago, and my aunt tried it at the same time. We turned into VERY angry people, LOL- and no one could stand to be in the room with us. Plus, we were at each others throats. I haven't been brave enough to try it since then,

I've taken it, and it has helped... It has a bunch of caffeine in it so I can't imagine it would make you sleepy!

Oh sister, you are speaking my language right now. I'm sitting here on the computer to prevent myself from biting someone's head off! (or eating myself out of house and home)

I just started taking Midol a few months ago, and it works great for me. No more sore breasts, bloating, etc. I wouldn't take it to close to bed though, because like someone else said, it's got a load of caffeine. I've got to cut back on the coffee when I take it. I haven't noticed it making me angry like it did some others. I think that might depend on how your body processes medications, so you won't know until you try it.

Give it a shot. Can't hurt, might help.

Acetamenophen (Tylenol) + caffeine. It made me jittery.

it is the same pill minus the caffeine. I am very sensitive to caffeine. If I have any caffeine after noon I'll be up all night. The teen formula has tylenol and something for the bloating. It really helps me and my dd.

Motrin is stronger, but it is a little bit slower to kick in, IME.

I've never tried Midol, but Aleve does the trick for me. I used to get a prescription for Anaprox before Aleve became OTC. I take it only when needed (maybe once or twice a month) & it's a lifesaver for me.
