I'm really trying to figure this out. In yr1, week 1 for level 3 it states in the Writing assignments: "Learn or review the steps in the writing process". So, where in the world to I find that info? My confusion lies in that I don't know WHERE to go for this info. I'm holding a copy of WA in my hands, but I can't seem to find it. Can you please help me with this?

Thanks!

I don't know where it is in WA but here's your answer (http://web.mit.edu/writing/Writing_Process/writingprocess.html) about what it is- I don't have WA yet.

It's on the CD, it's called "Steps in the Writing Process."

It's in the Writing Aids book - pages 167 and 168.
You'll get a review of it assigned each year I think - at least we have for all levels for all years we've done so far :)

Thank you all for your prompt replys. Also, that link you gave, Trivium, is awesome!

I also wanted to encourage you to look at the CD which came with the WA book. There are additional resources on the CD for almost every book entry.

I always use the "talking points" when introducing a new topic from WA. Talking points is a simplified version of the info from WA laid out to help you lead a discussion. (You could call them lecture notes, though I don't use them to lecture.)

And the CD has a page you can print out for the child to read. It is written different from the book, more on the child's level. I made it part of her notebook for the year.
