For example this is my middle daughter:

She even looks like her! It's almost uncanny.

Okay - not looks, but personality. My 7 yo ds IS Tigger. Think bouncy, silly, always moving, full of energy, etc.

Not a character exactly, but my friend made this observation recently about my ds8. He is very big for his age...thin, but very tall. Her ds is 3 years older and a tad shorter. Yet, when you see the two of them together it is clear that my ds is the youngest even though he is taller. Hers has a calmer and more mature presense about him. My friend said my ds reminds her of a Great Dane...gigantic...but non threatening and very puppy like. He just sort of flops all around...the way he moves his body. It actually described him very well.:D

pretty purposeful about it. He has all the facial expressions etc. down pat. My little guy is Bullwinkle at the moment. He even reads his reading lessons as Bullwinkle. I'm not sure if that is what you mean, but if I hear one more story told to me by Bullwinkle I might just have to retire.

My youngest is very like Mei from My Neighbor Totoro. My older girl... I dunno.

Oh. yes. Ds is Calvin (though no one is Hobbes). He even makes what we call "the Calvin face."

Oldest dd is part Pooh -- sweet, gentle, a bit gullible (hough she's much smarter, of course!) and part Roo -- happy, friendly, optimistic, loving.
Middle dd is Eeyore -- pessimistic, placid, "I knew it would go wrong..."" (though her tail never falls off! ;-)
Ds is Tigger -- fun, bouncy, optimistic, impulsive, full of ideas that seemed good at first...
I'm Mrs. Kanga; dh is a bit Owl-ish with just a "hare" of Rabbit thrown in. (Get it? A "hair" of "hare?")

Our house if full of characters!!
DH is definately Tigger. He laughs just like Tigger and bounces around as well.
DS just told me he is Jerry, ala Tom and Jerry. I asked why and he said it's because he always wins. That would explain a lot.
I'm Michigan J. Frog, well, it just seems to fit lately.

I love everyone's answers. It's like a little peep into your homes! :)
eta: my eldest is Hermione from Harry Potter. Now imagine Hermione living with Judy Miller. Oh yes, big fun around here some days.

Tee Hee, does she have the matching furniture as well? Didn't every girl growing up in the 70's have that furniture.
I can do Roseanne Roseanna Danna hair when I get up in the morning. :D

We have a couple of friends who call our youngest "Little Vampire" because he looks just like the kid in that movie, down to the glasses!
Is there a dwarf named moody? :D If not, then dd6 is bambi, cute delicate, prissy. DD3 is thumper. She likes to jump. She even went through a phase of jumping everywhere.

No! She doesn't have the furniture, I should totally find her some!
DD and I can both do the hair!!

For years of his early childhood, my eldest adored this book and very much reminded me of Ferdinand. He is very strong-willed, single minded, peace-loving. He's a lover, not a fighter!

The littlest one -- this is going to sound weird -- is like Dumbledore. He's silly, fun-loving and wise . Don't ask me how a two-year-old can be wise. He just has this old soul knowingness about him. He ties our whole family together, and inspires us.

My ds is like Jeremy from Zits comic strip. Actually, the comic is like our whole family except we have added a dd who is a mix of a lot of characters. :)
This comic cracks me up almost every week as it feels like someone is peeking in on our days. I love it! :D

My youngest is Tinker Bell (but she says she nicer). Not sure who my oldest is like.. except maybe an old 40's style Hollywood starlet. She's over the top in the drama department. Just finished playing Carlotta Barracuda, she fit the part to a T.

People have told me that my oldest looks like Prince William. There IS a striking resemblance! If ONLY I could look like William's mom!!! <sigh>

My oldest son Caleb reminds me a little of Caleb (Cal) Trask from East of Eden. I never read the book until he was about 15. He's named after the biblical Caleb, not the character in the book. Now, that may sound alarming if you're familiar with the book and character. It isn't a bad thing, though. He went through a period of inner struggle--and was just coming out of it at the time I was reading the book--that reminded me of Cal's. I recommended the book to him and he strongly identified with the entire book as I did. We've half-joked about getting matching tattoos that say "Timshel (http://timshel.org/timshel.php)" since it is sort of a motto for both of us. As for me, I think I identify most with Tom--except for his end.
Sam Gribley (My Side of the Mountain) would be another good choice for either of my boys. They both enjoy doing the sorts of things Sam does in the book, but I don't know that Josh would like being alone that long. Caleb would have no problem going off alone for a year.
I've also said Caleb reminds me of oldest brother Adam from Bonanza. He's has the darker complexion and dark eyes, is often brooding and serious, and loves poetry. I remember watching those old Bonanza reruns and Adam would always go off riding alone into the mountains or somewhere, and that is just like Caleb. Josh is more like Hoss. We tease our oldest daughter and call her Little Jo since her name is Jordan and we call her Jo for short. That leaves the youngest out, though, and she doesn't appreciate being called Hop Sing even though she barely understands what we're talking about. (Poor deprived kids to have missed out on Bonanza reruns!)
I'll have to think more about the girls. Not many girl characters come to mind at the moment and those that do wouldn't fit.

Oh! That was one of my favorite books when I was a little bitty girl of about 5. Yes, I do remember. I can't remember where my keys are half the time, but I can remember silly details from when I was a kid.:D

My youngest daughter when she was two reminded my husband and me of a 'Who' from 'Whoville' in When the Grinch Stole Christmas (not the movie but the book.)
Now, though, at age 6.5, she is a little Ramona Quimby!!!

My youngest dd reminded many, many people of Boo from Monsters, Inc. when she was younger (think 1-4). However, I still hear it every now and then and she is 7.5. She was VERY mischievious and giggled and laughed just like Boo. I have a picture of her when she was little, but it's on the other computer. Maybe I'll post it after co-op today.
Older dd, I don't know. That's a tough one. I'll have to think about her.

11 yos= Bert, 7 yos= Ernie. I remember a couple of years ago when I first told my oldest that he and his brother reminded me of Bert and Ernie, he said, "I guess I would be Bert, then, huh?" In a very deadpan Bert sort of way. LOL
My 5 yod is most like Eloise.

Our oldest is our old soul and has been since she was as young as two or younger...so I totally get what you're saying.

My granson is so much like the current PBS cartoon figure Curious George.
My daughter is constantly told she looks like a young Cher. Dh looks like Anthony Quinn without the scowl, and my oldest ds is sporting the Orlando Bloom look (I was told he looked like a treasure troll when he was a toddler).

I'd have to put our oldest into the Hermione catagory as well. Though I think she fancies herself as Beka Cooper or Aly (Tamora Pierce - Terrier and Tricker's Queen respectively)...not that most of you would have any idea what those characters are like. :D Think wise, up for a challenge, not girly but fully aware of the power of the feminine.
Our youngest? A mix of Ramona and Annie (from the musical).

Both of my girls have went through Charlie and the Chocolate Factory stages. My oldest spent some time in K and 1st acting just like Violet Beauregard in the 2nd version of the movie. She had to be first and win everything. The movie really helped to show her how annoying this is and she grew out of it.
Currently, we have Verunka Salt living with us. She is watching the movie quite a bit and I am hoping that this period will soon be done. She can even do the spoiled girl scowl.
Otherwise, there have been periods when we called my oldest "Einstein" because of her terrible baby hair that stuck straight up and now we call her "Einstein" because of her flair for math and love of science.:001_smile:

LOL, Doran. Yes, Bear (Calvin) also keeps us together in that, if he divides us, he'd have us conquered in an instant.

My youngest is definitely a Ramona Quimby-type; my middle daughter----hmmm---she blends in pretty well, but I would describe her as Elizabeth Bennett. My oldest can be grumpy, sort of like "House" on the series!
