I'm very familiar with courses from The Teaching Company (boy, I ought to buy stock in them!) but does anyone know about these? Our library has an extensive collection of downloadable books, and these are included. Unlike The Teaching Company, it looks like they have a limited number of professors, which makes me wonder. For example, the guy teaching Dante (Timothy Shutt) is also teaching C.S. Lewis. Just wondering if anyone has listened to these? At least they are free (for me) ... a huge plus if they're good!

We listened to the Ancient Rome series (and I listened to the Supreme Court one) and we liked it, but it was just audio, so when we discovered the Teaching Company's DVD, we felt those were more engaging. Somehow it sticks more if you see the lecturer, rathan than just hear him/her.

But the content on the Modern Scholar series that I listened to was just fine, no problems at all...
