I have a two part question.
First: How or what formula can I use to calculate the radius of an arc? I have a diameter of 40" 1/4' and a radius of 2" 6' basically it would look like a semicircle.
Second: After having a radius how would I figure out every degree from the diameter (let's say every 2 feet)
Hope this makes sense....thank you for looking!

First: perhaps I'll show my own ignorance here, but what the heck.
Are you saying that the diameter of the semi circle is 40 1/4 inches? and the radius is 30" (2 feet plus 6 more inches)? These numbers aren't making sense to me. A diameter of 40 1/4 inches should mean a radius of 20 1/8 inches. Are you sure you aren't looking at arc length or something?
Second question: I am not sure what you are asking. If you have the actual text of the problem and can copy it in for us, I think that one of the math brainiacs will be able to help even more. ;)
If you have the actual text and problem number that might also help some of the folks on the forum.
