It's happy hour. Why so happy? Dh and the boys are heading out in about 5 minutes to go camping. I have the weekend to myself! Woohoo! The boys made sure that I would be really ready to see them go today by being stinkerish. I've got my Mike's open. The Lemon and Artichoke Chicken is put together and just needs to go in the oven later.

Tomorrow night, the camping "widows" are going to a fondue restaurant. And I get peace and quiet. To knit and/or clean and purge if the mood strikes. Ahhh, there goes the garage door. They're gone! WHEW! But boy will I be glad to see them again on Sunday!

It will be happy hour here in a couple of hours. First to get the kids fed at the dining hall (it will not be good, but it is free), then off to bed with them DH is at a track meet and won't be back until late. The cap will come off the Mike's when we get home from dinner. Days like today can't allow me wait until their light is out.

:cheers2:

could you come over and go to my MIL's for me this weekend.

My dh and ds used to go camping, then dh decided to sell our Jeep and well a Mazda 3 will not hold camping gear and bikes:glare: Boy do I miss their camping trips. I know the joy you are feeling. I used to have a big bowl of popcorn and watch a chick flick whenever they went camping. Enjoy your special Mother's Day weekend treat, you deserve it!!!

Enjoy your weekend, and your happy hour.
No happy hour for me tonight, just had to take an ibuprofen horse pill for an awful headache. :(

Thanks! It is nice to have some space here and there. Short bits to help me really miss them and all. A friend came over for dinner. She was going to stay and help me with some organizing, but her son is experiencing some weird stomach spasms (he's 16) and they might go to the ER. She's going to come back and work on this with me though. She already had a couple of quick ideas to get me started. Just the boost I need to get this place in better order! I am so thankful she offered to do this with me!

I had a weekend like that a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, I woke up at 4am Saturday morning with food poisoning from the restaurant I went to Friday night. There went my whole weekend and I had such high hopes for it. I hope yours is much better than mine was.

:cheers2:

I'll see your Mike's and raise you one.

I tried to put in a picture and it wouldn't work. I raised you a Cherry Garcia baby!
