I have Cores K, 1, and 2, along with the first 5 sets of readers, K, 1, 2 regular, intermediate, and advanced. I need to hang on to them for my youngest and my other two often reread the books. Due to their ages, I'll have 3 cores at a time on the shelf.
Those using the same SL core for the 2nd time with a younger sibling, do you do the entire core? Sub books you didn't care for? or a condensed version?
Do the SL books typically resell better as a set? Should I save the ones we didn't use or didn't care for?
After your youngest has used the core, do you sell immediately or wait awhile? So many of the books have a wide age range of enjoyment. How do you decide what and when to part with a book?
Do you have a "Sonlight" only bookcase? How do you make sure the ones that go to their rooms, come back? Do you keep them together as the set on the bookcase? How do they stay whatever way you decided to organize them?
Do or how do you label your Sonlight books?
Any pictures of your Sonlight materials in your school room?
Thanks!

I have cores K, 1, 3+4 and 100. I can't answer all your questions, but I'll take a shot at a few. :)
I've adapted the core a bit to each child, and to my changing homeschooling style and life situation. In the beginning, I was very much a do-it-all box-checker, and now I use more of an LCC approach, so I adapt Sonlight to that (which is how I manage to do three cores at once). I secularize the curriculum also, so I usually drop some of the books (like Hero Tales, though I kept Peace Child) the first time around and that doesn't change with the youngers. I will sub books, or add books as needed. Every child is different, and the curriculum is just a tool.
I've never sold a core. I plan on keeping my books indefinitely.
My SL books end up in bookcases all over the house. The kids run off with them. When I need a particular book, I go through the bookcases in their rooms first. :) I don't care about keeping the books together and in one place. I want my kids to develop a relationship with books, and feel free to snuggle up with them wherever and whenever.
As far as labeling, when you buy a core, Sonlight includes a sticker sheet in a particular color. That color is color-coded to that core. I use a hole-puncher and make little circles out of the sticker paper, then stick those onto the spines of the books for that core. For example, when I'm looking for Core K books on the shelf, I can just look for the pink dots on the spines.
Since my SL books are all over the house, I unfortunately can't show pictures. I do have all my IGs on one shelf in the schoolroom, but those don't get pulled out a whole lot. :D

I have cores, 2,3,4,5,& 6
Those using the same SL core for the 2nd time with a younger sibling, do you do the entire core? Sub books you didn't care for? or a condensed version? Yes & No. We did use all the readers and read alounds again, as well as the old LA's and Science. But, I added some extras and took away a few things that she really did not need.
Do the SL books typically resell better as a set? Should I save the ones we didn't use or didn't care for? I think they probably do, but I have not done this yet. I may for this next year when I use Core 3 again. With Core 2, I sold off bits and pieces as we finished but kept some of the bks we really loved and knew we would want to read again.
After your youngest has used the core, do you sell immediately or wait awhile? So many of the books have a wide age range of enjoyment. How do you decide what and when to part with a book? I usually collect those that I wish to sell and take them to spring curriculum sales or fairs. I also check on-line lists for WTB posts. However, I don't like to sell a bk at a time, too much effort for too little return.
Do you have a "Sonlight" only bookcase? How do you make sure the ones that go to their rooms, come back? Do you keep them together as the set on the bookcase? How do they stay whatever way you decided to organize them? I do keep most SL bks together, each core on a different shelf. A few of the titles are in the kids rooms, but I bring them back down when we are ready to use that core again.
Do or how do you label your Sonlight books? I don't label them, they are not hard to remember.
Any pictures of your Sonlight materials in your school room? OK, Picture below.
