I am looking at using this next year but I am wondering if just doing the workbook is enough? I have never looked at one-I was hoping that Amazon would have the look inside feature, but it doesn't. Any thoughts? What do you do?
Thanks,

I never tested. My oldest took the PSAT early and did very well without Wordly wise testing. His verbal scores were sky-high. Wordly wise and lots of reading were winning combo.

The test book is certainly not a necessity - - The lessons in the book are thorough.
We did use the test books this year, as I wanted my kids to practice testing. They were helpful for that reason.

My older daughter does the test books starting with 6th grade for testing practice. My younger one does not do the tests.

We used the tests this year, but they are not necessary. I just realized the ds had NEVER taken a multiple choice test and he might need some practice, that's why we use the tests.

We don't use the test books, and we feel the kids get plenty out of the workbooks as is.

The test book isn't necessary, I've just been picking words from the list and having my dd write the word, definition and a sentence showing proper usage for each list. I do plan on getting test book next year, just because I want her to practice that format in testing.

I also use the tests 4-8 weeks after doing the workbook as review.
