What display mode do you prefer?

I'm having a hard time adjusting, I guess. I keep switching back and forth between the display modes, but can't find one that I really, really like.

The linear mode shows all of the replies on one screen, so I can quickly scroll through.

The hybrid mode shows who replied to whom in that little box, but then I have to scroll back up to the little box thingy to see if a reply is a general or specific response.

I don't like threaded mode. It only shows one post at a time.

You know what I really want is the linear mode with the indented format- so that I can quickly see who posted when.

Is it just me? Am I doing something wrong? (I've noticed that many times when I hit reply, it doesn't go to the OPer)

I would prefer those options too, but haven't found a way to do them. You can place your reply under a specific post in the thread by using the "quick reply" icon in the lower righthand corner of their post. I thought "post reply" would always post under the original thread, but apparently it doesn't. I think it's easier to use "quick reply".
