View Full Version : How do we reply to someone who is already replying to someone?

I saw that someone lost a kitten today. And in reading the responses I read about someone who had their cat for 14 years just die. So I responded to the 14 year cat - and it looks like I responded to the kitten. (And so it looks over there like I have no idea what is going on!)
Also - remember when we could come back and tell each other an update DIRECTLY under our post and above all the responses so new readers could see that update clearly? Well - can we still do that?

There are so many ways of doing everything! However if you want to be sure to get it under a specific person's post, click on the quote box under that person's post. You can erase the quote if you don't need it. I've not figured out a way to post right under my original post if I started the thread. I have seen that people have gone back in and edited the 1st post with an update--either adding an update in bold print or adding a note saying there is an update below.

To create a reply to Jean's post, I clicked on the "quick reply" icon inside the bottom of her post. This is the picture of the letter with feather pen on the far right side. Clicking on the "quote" icon will quote the previous post and post it as a reply. (You can delete material inside the quote doohickeys to reduce the quote.)

When you scroll down to the "Post Reply" icon at the lower left of the thread, the post becomes a reply to the first post in the thread. (Of course, "quick reply" will also do this is you are doing it within the first post of the thread.)
