Wondering if there's a good co-op already in the Louisville-ish area... or if there are any other people out there in this area...

We live in Lexington but have been coming to Louisville at least once a month this school year to do things at Frazier, etc. I scheduled a chemistry lab at Louisville Science Center in the fall (they have a brand new chem lab and are chomping at the bit to work with folks). We're getting ready to go see the impressionist exhibit on at the Speed Art. There are quite a few things going on in Louisville, so maybe we'll see you at some of them!

Have a sister in Corydon, IN who visits Louisville weekly, about a 40-45 minute drive. She is the co-owner/operator of Arby's in Corydon. Drop in to see her sometime. Tell her that her Tennessee sister sent you! She would love it!
Blessings!;)
BTW, we are also some of those christian folks that hs for academic reasons among many other reasons. We are just in TN, lol!

We just moved from that area. It is such a beautiful place and there is so much going on. I miss the easy access and wealth of fun educational field trips.
Here are several opportunities that I know of.
Heart and Home (http://www.homeschool-life.com/in/heartnhome/)
River City Field Trips (http://www.rivercityfieldtrips.org/)
Salem Academy (http://salemacademysha.blogspot.com/)
Spring Meadow Cottage School (http://thelatinschool.org/cottage)
There are also free performances that are open for home schoolers at the Ogle Theater at IUS in New Albany, IN. Those are really worth checking out.
The New Albany Library does a monthly homeschool activity one Friday each month.
If you want any more information feel free to PM me.

We are closer to the E-town area. We just moved here but I hope that Louisville isn't too far away for some field trips. Is there anyone else on this side of Louisville?
