I'm finally back online after moving and...um...well...
This new format is going to take a while.
That said, I wish you could see the gorgeous views outside our little temporary rental house on the windward side of Oahu...breathtaking. How will I ever get any work done?
The work might also be in jeopardy because of the Starbucks/Jamba juice within walking distance.
How is everybody liking the new format?

Welcome back, Jo! I'd love to see pictures of your new view. I can't imagine I'd get anything done either.
I love the new format, but a lot of people are struggling with it. Give it some time, it might grow on you.

I hear you about the change. I think those of us who didn't frequent other boards with this format will need some time to adjust. So what's another change in your life right now??;)

...you need to get work done?? Don't you deserve nothing but leisurely walks to Jamba Juice and Starbucks and along the beach, enjoying sunrise/sunset whichever you prefer? Didn't you just fly around half the world smack dab in the middle of the Christmas holidays and all of this on the military's timeline??
ENJOY!
Are there storms in Paradise?
I always need to know what the weather is like - I am weird that way...

TeaTotaler--love, love, LOVE the name!
We just moved at Christmas, lived in a Navy Lodge for nearly a month, found out that we weren't as done having children as we had planned, moved into a rental house, and we're currently awaiting military housing. And now! I come here for solace, and familiarity, like Norm entering Cheers, and it's completely different...and YOU changed your board name. I'm having overload. ;)

We just finished moving to Oahu as well and I finally made it online last week! We're in a rental house and will probably stay but we're out in Ewa. It's nice but the traffic can be terrible.
Have you contacted any of the HS groups? We didn't ship my vehicle until the day we flew so it doesn't get here until the 5th so I'll probably try to get into the swing of things after that. We're 74% unpacked but that last 25% is a killer.
Anyway, just wanted to commiserate and say hi!

Sounds like it's time for a Hawaii WTM beach day. Anne, I was smacking myself when you mentioned going to the S. Korean reception in Dec because we were supposed to go to that and didn't make it. It would have been so nice to finally meet you.

I've been wondering how you're doing with all your changes.
I strongly disliked this new format at first, but now I've got the hang of it. It has it's good and bad points, and I think I'll always prefer the last format just a tiny bit, but this is okay. I did spend way too much time on here to figure it out, though :o.
Anyway, Welcome Back!
