Would somene recommend a poem for my special needs daughter's scrap book? To prepare for her home school evaluation I would like to begin the year with a special poem reflecting God's unique creation - my ten year old daughter. Thank you!:)

From a friend's blog:

Kids Who Are Different by Digby Wolfe

Here's to the kids who are different,
The kids who don't always get A's
The kids who have ears twice the size of their peers,
And noses that go on for days ...

Here's to the kids who are different,
The kids they call crazy or dumb,
The kids who don't fit, with the guts and the grit,
Who dance to a different drum ...

Here's to the kids who are different,
The kids with the mischievous streak,
For when they have grown, as history's shown,
It's their difference that makes them unique.

This was written for a boy with Autism so I don't know if it would be of any use but I love it and would like to share it!

MY LITTLE MAN
My little man cant really throw a ball
My little man has a hard time catching one too
My little man can’t tie his shoes
My little man can have a big melt down
My little man cant hop on one foot.
My little man may seem a bit weird to other children
My little man has a hard time with friends
BUT
My little man can skip
My little man can run like the wind
My little man can light up a room with just one smile or giggle
My little man can hug and kiss me
My little man says he loves me
My little man has more love in him then most
My little man HAS fealings too
