View Full Version : Help! I'm lost in boardville!!

I'm trying out some of the board features today and am finding myself mildly amused and more than a tad confused.
First, is it just me who sees a little blue checkmark in the upper right corner when I post a new thread? If it's just me, maybe it has something to do with my trying to "subscribe" to my posts.
Second, when I click on a name -- one that shows up under a recent post (not necessarily a thread start), I seem to go to that person's profile. But, when I clicked on my name just now, I ended up on Nancypant's profile. I mean, I know I've been feeling young, and she's all adorable and blonde, but I think this could give people the wrong impression, don't you?
Any thoughts?

The check mark means you have a post in that thread.

The blue check mark is as you said - it is showing you the posts that you have subscribed to.
Ending up on Nancypant's profile? Can't help you there unless she has you as a buddy or something?

Actually, I think it means you've subscribed to that thread. I believe the arrow in the envelope icon means you have a post in that thread.
But I could be wrong.

profile, not Nancy's. Maybe it's just a glitch?

You're right. Sorry, I got it backwards. Arrow and checkmark, whoops!

Doran, I think you'd prefer looking like Nancypant than the image I keep coming up with for your name ;)
I keep visualizing a tall, muscular, chestnut haired ---- gelding :D:D But it's a very good looking gelding! My ds rides a horse named Duran and it took me a long time to register the difference in the two names. But I repeat, he's a good looking horse :p

Since I never know where my post will land in a thread --- I mean the GELDING comment was funny! :D

Oh, I dunno. I could probably convert to a chestnut haired gelding more easily than I could to the young, blonde Nancy. But, at least you don't have the image of Dorian Gray that someone else partnered with my name awhile back. Ew.
