Anyone take Astragalus?

I was just reading about fighting colds and flus and this is something new that I've never heard of. Anyone take it? Did it help. I'm on my third cold for the winter. :eek: This is getting ridiculous.

I have used the dried astragalus root in homemade soups. It's supposed to be very good for colds, but I can't say for sure, because I always took other things with it. It's bitter-tasting, I can tell you that much.
