It is time to update my look. I tried google to find sites with hairstyles on them, but I got a lot of garbage. Do any of you have recommendations for good sites to look at? I want a haircut/style that does not take a lot of prep work - I am a wash and go kind of gal.

TIA!

I've never had much luck with those sites either.

I personally like to look sort of off-beat ;) so I've searched ads, books, and magazines (fashion, celeb, whatever) in print and online. I keep a little file of cuts/styles that I like and I know work well for me because I sometimes like a change. LOL I'm pretty low-maintenance now, too, so I stick to either very short and choppy, bobbed somehow--like it is now on my avatar--or a shoulder-length shag. All of these work for me, but ymmv, of course. ;)

How does your hair look now? Is it straight/wavy/layered/etc.?

Do you have a good stylist? If so, you should be able to tell her what you want and she should be able to do something for you. That's what I do. I love my stylist. It's taken me years to find her and I pay more now, but it's worth it. You know how I found her? I asked at Great Clips about someone who colors hair. Someone there recommended her. Even if you don't need coloring, it's a good way to find someone good. Or ask your friends.

I also have good results trusting my stylist. I usually give her adjectives like, 'easy,' ,'fun,' or 'a little trendy.' If you drop a name of a celebrity whose hair you admire, that will give her a rough idea. For fun, I like to say that just because I am a homeschool mom, I don't have to look like one. :D

Joy to you!
