The conversation went like this:

Me: "I think we have to order a kit for a home birth."

Him: "A kit?"

Me: "You know--we have to have those big...things...so that we don't get...birth...juices...everywhere."

Dh: silence.

Me: "Dh?"

Dh: "I'll be ok in a minute..." silence.

Me: "Are you thinking of roast?"

Dh: :leaving:

The poor thing probably never even considered that there would be birth juices. He's probably thinking that a nurse will magically appear and she'll be bearing an armful of those blue chuks that they use in the hospital.

Oh my.
Sounds like you'd better make him start watching A Baby Story or My Mom's Having a Baby or somesuchthing to get him all prepared!!!
