View Full Version : Bloblessness!!

I have made a grand recovery today, people. Truly grand. As projected, I got my garden bed dug. I have to give credit where credit's due, though, because it was dh who did the lion's share of the work. I tried, earnestly, but scalping grass off that much of a space was too much for me. Dh went at it and did the work in a third of the time it might've taken me. I served as clump-herder :D, a vital role to be sure. I herded the clumps into the back of his pickup, and we hauled them over to our vacant lot, where we have a moat in the depression left behind when we demolished the house there. Clumps were deposited into the moat. And, while we were there, we planted our four fig saplings which have been languishing in small pots for too long.

I also went to farmers' market, did a load of wash, hosted seven young girls long enough for them to have a water balloon fight, and wash my car, cooked meatloaf and our first asparagus of the season for dinner, and have just finished revising several articles for the publication I edit.

Consider me blobless -- at least for the day. There's a pretty good chance it will be a fleeting title.

You go, girl!

And, just to let you all know, I vacuumed dd's bedroom. I must have been picking up some of your anti-blob vibes.:thumbup1:

Just a smidgen of bloblessness around here today: attended three soccer games, and one baseball practice, did weekly shopping, weeded entire front yard (it's not really *that* big), put down weed prevention stuff, made dinner, and now I'm in my jammies and it's not even 8:00 yet! I love spring!

Better to be blobless than toothless!

I made a big pot of Maine fish chowder for dh, and I cleaned the house, and I finished the laundry, and I ran errands at the store. Yippee, we are blob-free!

I should think it risky to presume
That my blobishness will never resume.

I'll be up at 4:15 am to get my dd to her place of departure for her first rowing regatta. She's stroke in a boatfull of older girls. I'm so excited for her that I probably won't notice the ungodliness of the hour until much later in the morning, at which point, she will be underway, I will be home (not attending the race), and with any luck at all, I'll be napping! ;)

Way to go! I exercised, went to soccer game, and worked in the yard most of the day. Not much blobbing here, either. I was just so happy to have a beautiful day without snow that I couldn't wait to get outside and work!!

Oh yay, are we sharing overcoming the blob? I've had so much to do the last week I've been a terrible blob, and did nothing at all, in protest of having too much to do.

But today I: Exercised a horse, cleaned out the tack shed, washed all the grooming tools & buckets & jump standards, groomed and picked out hooves, got the (horse) fly masks ready in preparation for the fly season, weeded in the garden area, shook my head over the state of the swimming pool, washed the outsides of a few windows, and made my kids do their chores too.

Now I'm having a glass of wine. :D

Tomorrow I'm picking up a bunch of kids and driving them to a roller rink for my dd's birthday party. :willy_nilly:

Sounds like a very productive day! Not intentionally sharing stories, but I felt rather compelled to exonerate myself after this post the day before (http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23188). ;)

Happy birthday to your dd!!! Roller rink brings back such happy memories.

Ah! Yes, when the blob comes for me, I just give in and blob. I think we all need downtime to recharge, even when we're not happy about the downtime. ;)

Thank you for the birthday wishes! It's a fun roller rink with disco lights and everything! Hee hee, the kids love it.
