It's getting pretty warm in this house. I have all of the windows open and three ceiling fans on downstairs. One is turning clockwise and the other two counter clockwise. Which way are they supposed to turn for cooling the house? Thanks in advance

I'm not sure which is which, but I do know that for cooling, you feel to see if the air is directly blowing DOWN.
I think you put a few loose pieces of paper under the fan, and whichever way disperses them is the right direction.
And I've read that in rooms that aren't being used, you should turn off the fan. The fan is to directly cool the skin with air touching it, not to cool using circulated air.

Thanks Pam. I finally found a webpage that said they are supposed to go counter-clockwise for cooling. They are all turning the same way now. I can really feel the difference:chillpill:
