If so what was the transition like? I am still looking into what we are going to do after rightstart and just cannot make up my mind.
Any help would be awesome.
Thank you.

Joanna, I have no comment on saxon, though I will say that when I looked over everything under the sun to make my choice, I pretty much concluded NOTHING was as awesome as RS and to just pick something. I realized I might not have that "love" relationship with anything the way I did with RS, but they were all fine options, something would work, etc. In looking at your dc's age, is he going to be in 6th grade this fall? You could put him in BJU6 after RS E and he'd be both properly placed for math AND on grade level, always a plus. After that you're looking at pre-algebra and could put him into the video or cd driving program of your choice. So don't think too hard, because you're just looking for something for a year or two before you start your algebra sequence, not forever.

I'm just starting RS level A with my prek, but I do teach homeschool Algebra and I prefer BJU over Saxon. If you aren't good at math you would need the BJU dvd's in highschool or you could do Video text Algebra like the pp said.

Now I know that the whole BJU is not a secular program is their math the same way?

You will find Christian comments in the Math, but I think they would be easy enough to skip over. My experience has been with the Algebra and above. OhElizabeth will have to comment on the lower grades.
