I need family movies.
Classics.
Maybe even some educational DVDs :D.
And perhaps some flicks for my feminine sensibilities while dh is out of town- I'm not a big fan of the newer "chick flick" genre though.
Thanks.

How do you have an empty queue? :001_huh:
Just look up movies you like and they will give you suggestions. I have over 300 in mine, just not enough time to watch them all. What kind of movies do you like?

Suffering a similar problem here. Well, not quite empty, but all the new releases like Cloverfield are marked as long wait.
How about adding in discs for tv show you have never seen or an old beloved one? Tv series fill up that queue fast.

It is a problem with having the time here too.
We have recently watched: The Water Horse, Spy Kids, Nancy Drew, Horatio Hornblower, Sense and Sensibility, Transformers (the grown ups watched this--grrrrr! that they had to make it un-kid friendly), Andy Griffith and I love Lucy series...
I can't remember the rest. I would like some suggestions for videos that also edify and educate---imagine that? :D
Thanks.

I did what you suggested and rated movies we have seen and they gave us more ideas:
Here is what we added:
Mr. Smith Goes To Washington
X-men
Mister Roberts (I love WWII comedies)
An Affair to Remember (can you believe I've never seen this?)
Now off to search educational selections.....

Rabbit Proof Fence looks good. Would you watch it with kids over a certain age? 12ish, 9ish?
Thanks.
See! I need a nudge out of my rut so my suggestions become more varied.

Not a classic - but a cute family movie - Enchanted. My 2 yo was a bit scared at one part (there's a dragon at the end), but we just took her out of the room.

I'm very liberal in my movie viewing with my kids (both have seen it) so, humm. I would say only that it's a hard subject, but I don't remember any awful language or s*x. Hopefully if I'm remembering wrong someone else will correct me.

Robin Hood - the Erol Flynn version! :) :) :)
Great family fun!
Oh, and can I just say that The Never Ending Story totally scared me as a child. I was quite old before it stopped totally freaking me out.
