Wondering why my siggy is in red sometimes. It's not pre-set--I type it in everytime. But sometimes it shows up in red. ???

Hm...when you use the Search function, then go to a post from that search window, the word that was searched shows as red. Could that be why? :001_smile:

For example, if I search for my own name, it will appear in red anywhere in the post that it appears, whether in the body of the post or in the signature line.

That must be it. I've been using the search feature to track some of my posts. That must be why some show up in red and not others.

So I'm the only one who would see them in red, then? I just didn't want to give any impressions of "I think so highly of myself I put my siggy in red boldface!" ;)

Thanks for clearing up my confusion.

Each time I do a search (which, in my defense, isn't that often), as I'm reading the replies I start to notice that some words are in red and I wonder why the poster would put them in red. Around about the 3rd or 4th post I recognize them as my search words. You'd think I'd remember, but every time it's a confusing little surprise :001_huh:.
